Illuminating Detail 

BACKGROUND LIGHTING

Illuminating Detail begins with an observation of light and reimagines that effect on an architectural scale produced with electrical light. We will pick a section of the Farnsworth House and design an electrical lighting application to bring their observed light interaction into the space. Changes to materials and minor architectural adjustments are welcome to accommodate lighting details, but the overall form of the Farnsworth house should remain the same. The fixture specification, details of application, and final effect will be show in this project. And we are encouraged to consider designing a lighting detail that could also be applied in our studio project.
